   is this an exam or a trick question?
   technically when we say 口水传染, not only we mean saliva but really it’s any secretions that comes from the oral/nasal route. So coughing, sneezing, dirty hands after wiping the nose etc will spread those germs as well.

   For your question,

   Common cold (伤风), which is normally viral in origin; and there’s also which is influenza (流感), pneumonia(肺炎), tuberculosis(肺痨).

   Not forgetting other viral stuff like chicken pox (水痘), mumps (俗称猪头皮) and measles (麻疹), rubella (德国麻疹), poliomyelitis (小儿麻痹症), hand, foot, mouth disease/Coxsackie (手足口症). Can’t think of any more at the moment…

   Hepatitis B (B型肝炎) normally doesn’t spread via saliva although the virus can be present in saliva, it’s via blood transfusion/sexual transmission, or from mum to fetus. Hepatitis A and E, however, can spread via the mouth… not directly through saliva, but rather via eating contaminated foods.
